Aziza’s Coffee is part of Aziza’s Place, a NGO supporting and educating underprivileged children in Phnom Penh. Profits from the social business go directly to the children and families on their programs.
Whilst using Cambodia’s first solar-powered tuktuk to sell fresh iced coffees and fresh fruit juices, Aziza’s Coffee allows customers to use plastic bottles and drink cans as currency; 1 bottle/can is worth 500 riel (maximum discount per coffee is 1000 riel or 2 recyclable items). Customers are encouraged to support the Recycling Exchange concept as an educational tool about the volume of garbage we all generate.
Aziza’s Place is also developing the technology to “upcycle” the plastic bottles collected into other plastic items such as buttons for the ethical garment industry and recycle our own waste products such as our coffee grounds. Watch this page for more exciting news! Fancy an iced coffee or a refreshing iced tea in the sweltering Cambodian heat? Then you need to visit Aziza’s Coffee!
